Let the cat's world be filled with love
Let the cat's world be filled with love
There are no two identical cats in the world – some are neurotic, some are bossy, and some are social. Want to know which type your cat falls into? Science is here to help!
The Five Major Types of Cat Personality (Scientifically Certified Version)
A team of researchers from Australia and New Zealand surveyed 2,802 domestic cats and summarized the five personality traits of cats by combining them with the psychological “Big Five” personality model:
1. Neurotic type (highly sensitive baby)
✅ Characteristics: easily nervous, timid and fearful, startled and insecure
✅ Classic behavior: blowing up when hearing the doorbell, hiding under the bed, rejecting strangers
✅ Suitable pooper scooper: gentle and patient, not forced to socialize
2. Extroverted (Social Cow)
✅ Characteristics: confident and bold, active and curious.
✅ Classical behavior: actively welcome guests, tear down the house, interested in all new things.
✅ Suitable for Shoveler: Provide lots of toys and play with discharge every day.
3. Dominant Type (Bully among cats)
✅ Characteristics: dominant, possessive, loves to bully other cats.
✅ Classic behavior: hogging the food bowl, blocking the way, huffing and puffing at other cats.
✅ Suitable for pooper scoopers: multi-cat families need to spread resources (separate food bowls and litter boxes)
4. Impulsive (Crazy Batch Beauty)
✅ Characteristics: emotional instability, unpredictable behavior, love to provoke.
✅ Classic behaviors: sudden biting, parkour for no reason, flip-flopping faster than a book.
✅ Suitable for pooper scoopers: fixed routine, reduce environmental changes.
5. Pleasant type (Angel Kitten)
✅ Characteristics: gentle and affectionate, adaptable, socializer.
✅ Classic behavior: rubbing legs, showing belly, friendly with humans/other cats.
✅ Suitable for pooper-scooper: random rua, no matter how you spoil it, you can’t go wrong!
